In the reclaimed wood, square planter, participants will plant a selection of Spring bloomers such as primula, ranunculus, pre-sprouted bulbs, green houseplants, begonias, calandivia and more. As a finished product, the wooden planter will be mounted on the black metal stand, and your arrangement will be full and lush, accented with decorative mosses, pussy willows plus a whimsical, light-up, rabbit face peeking out from amid the foliage. Spring Amaryllis Joy Workshop Saturday March 16th, 10:00 a.m. So this is new…waxed Amaryllis for Spring! In Spring coloured wax (pink, mauve, yellow) the pre-sprouted stem will open to a white or pink blooming Amarylis, usually within the month of being exposed to light and warmth. What a joy to watch Amaryllis blooms open in the Spring-time! The container for this design will be a 8” wicker “nest” and will include three foliage or blooming plants, along with your choice of high-value, pre-sprouted waxed Amaryllis. Decorative mosses (to nestle the waxed Amaryllis), pussy willows and curly willow and a cute bird will complete the project. Fall Planter: City House/Country House Sunday September 14, 11:00 a.m. $80.00 + HST You decide the style of outdoor patio planter that suits your home – and then we’ll plant it together! What will look best: a 16” silver tin planter (city) or an 18” plastic wood-look barrel (country)? After a discussion of plant choices, participants will fill their pot with fresh potting soil and choose their favourite seven to eight fall-themed annuals to plant in the container. Choices will include: mums, ornamental grasses, kale and cabbage, rudbeckia, celosia, asters, fall pansies, calluna (heather) and more. Our staff will help you design the best look for your project! A fun decorative pick will complete the project. Please register for the style of planter you like best: city or country. The workshop price for both is the same. -

The remainder of the fee will be payable upon arrival to the Workshop) A NEW Collaborative Workshop – "Woven Wonder" Saturday March 23, 1:00pm We’ve created a new project in collaboration with “The Branch Ranch” in Warkworth and we think you will love it! The first hour of this hands-on workshop will be working with Jessica to create a willow woven obelisk that will sit on the rim of a country/modern chic square planter consisting of black metal and reclaimed wood. While learning weaving techniques she will also guide you to make a small willow birdnest. Next, Vikki will take over and guide participants in planting a Spring arrangement full of ranunculus, pre-sprouted hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, fluffy ferns, trailing ivy, blooming calandivia, pussy willows and foliage fillers. The birdnest, nestled with a few faux eggs and birdies, will tuck in for a magical Springtime design! Total height of the planter is 22”; the wooden planting vessel can be separated from the metal base to be used as a tabletop planter or the whole unit can styled as a compliment to your furniture. A NEW Two Piece Creation! The choice of container will be a rustic wooden crate (13x18x9H, natural tone) that participants fill with freshly cut mixed evergreens and accent with natural elements such as pinecones, pods, berries and dogwood. A trip to the "Accent Buffet" will allow participants to choose three accents for personalization. Next, participants will design a door swag to match! The same evergreens and accents will be used, arranged in a fan fashion and all tied with a beautiful bow. The two pieces can be used separately or as a combo at the front door. Please allow 2.25 hours for this multiple project workshop. Photos of the completed projects will be provided soon (as soon as evergreens arrive for the season). -

A kid’s workshop for our friends aged 3-12. This year's ceramic planter has a colourful scene on it's exterior: foxes, birds and winter wildlife. It will be filled with snipets of mixed evergreens so it resembles a hideaway you’d happen upon deep in the forest. Dogwood, pinecones, light floral accents and a woodland animal friend will complete the project. This arrangement is to remain indoors and, by keeping the floral foam moist, will last over a month! Returning for 2024! You’ll make a hoop-la in your neighbourhood when you hang this unique Winter decoration. The large 36” black metal hoop has a middle hook to hang a 14" moss hanging basket that will be generously filled and designed with drapy mixed evergreens and pinecone accents. Choices to add a small embellishment to the top of the hoop will be offered: bows or elegant evergreens and accents. This is a unique outdoor arrangement that will be appropriate to display until early March (and can be repurposed to Summer too, just refill the moss hanging basket with Summer annuals)! -
Sunday December 14, 1:00 p.m. We introduced this unique rectangular, metal container last year in green (to private sessions only) and this year we offer it in a rusty retro red and gold colour pallet. It is a beautiful container! Into the floral foam that sits firmly in the pot, participants will design with fresh mixed evergreens, including deluxe varieties like boxwood and arborvitae. To accent, pinecones, berries and light florals will be added, making it an elegant table arrangement. We have only containers available for one session, so don’t miss out! -

In a large 16” long rectangular natural wooden planter (with plastic liner), participants will plant seven seasonal bloomers. Choices will include: cyclamen, poinsettia, lemon cypress, winter berry, calandivia and frosty fern. Amid the arrangement will be a moss nest to sit a waxed amaryllis which will bloom in time for the holidays (fingers crossed, bloom timing is tricky). The final touch will be accents to finish the project to your personalized style, leaning a little to a country chic theme, with pinecones, natural pods and grapevine twists. Once all materials arrive, a photo of the completed project will be posted. -

Surrounding it fresh floral foam will be added and mixed evergreens will fill in the space, giving a lush look. The final touch will be accents to finish the project to your personalized style, leaning to a clean, modern theme, with tipped pinecones, dogwood, sparkly sticks and more. A FAVOURITE WORKSHOP! A hexagonal 16" tall rustic wooden lantern is this container for this workshop and is offered in ivory or black. Whether you are a returning participant, with previous year's style to re-do, or a new participant who will receive a new lantern, all will be have furniture safe floral dish sitting on the base of the lantern (with fresh floral foam). It will be filled with a fragrant mixed evergreens, pine cones and light floral accents. If the session is in late November, fresh florals will not be used and extra dried accents will decorate the arrangement. The greenery will spill out of the sides of the lantern and gently lay on the table around it. To light up the unit, a beautiful battery-operated LUXE candle will be added. All materials are included. If you are bring your lantern from the 2023 or 2024 workshop, please choose the BYOL (Bring Your Own Lantern) registration under each date. -

Back by popular demand! Winter Gnomes continue to be popular as fun outdoor decor. Using a metal frame, participants will create bundles of fresh evergreens that will attach to the frame, covering the body of the gnome. Layers and layers of evergreens will create a full body (no thin gnomes in this workshop!). A beard will be attached, using Silver Fir, and then his hat, nose and mittens will be affixed. Give your gnome a name before you leave - we'll help you come up with something clever! -
This is a workshop where you learn the techniques to create a fresh, new style of outdoor Winter planter: tree-top style. Participants will use a simple black pot (12" diametre) and pop in a 2-3 foot real evergreen tree (cut, not rooted) as the focal point. Then, layers of fresh evergreen boughs are added to the base of the planter to create a "skirt" that is lush and fragrant. Natural accents such as dogwood, pinecones and magnolia leaves are offered along with items from our "Accent Buffet" to create your own, unique masterpiece. Note: this planter can be stand-alone or pop inside another, decorative pot (fits standard urns too). In this workshop you will make ONE planter; if you require a second one, our staff can gather up the materials for you to make another at home or why not register a friend to work alongside you? -
The Grinch is back! Attending this super popular workshop is tradition for many of you! We're happy to be back "grinching" it up with you again this year. This is a family friendly workshop, great for all ages, but most-enjoyed by ages 7/8-adult. Using a lovely 6" round tin container and fresh floral foam, participants will twist up a branch of "leyland cypress" so it bends like the last tree in a Who-ville home once the Grinch got his greedy hands on all of the goodies. Fresh evergreen boughs (boxwood, pine and cedar) will be added at the base, along with light fresh flowers and a final touch of an ornament on the tip of the main branch. Whimsical and fun for the holidays! Photo is of a Grinch project from a previous year; 2025 project will have a different pot. -
We've added an opportunity to go back to basics and create a traditional outdoor evergreen arrangement in either a 12" round, fibre planter (works as an urn insert or stand-alone pot), 24" fibre window box /rectangular planter or 12" fibre hanging basket. Using a selection of fresh evergreens, participants will fill the planter of their choice (to choose upon arrival or make notation in NOTES section) with layers and layers for optimum fullness. Natural accents such as sedum, hydrangeas and pine cones will be offered, along with a visit to the "Accent Buffet" to choose up to 5 additional accents to make your arrangement truly unique and spectacular. -
NEW! Gingerbread Duo has only one session and will be held on Sunday December 14, 3:00 p.m. This new workshop is perfect for an adult and child/teen (ages 6+ recommended) to do together. Two containers will be designed: a larger (14”) oval gingerbread themed tin pot and a smaller (6”) gingerbread pot. How fun! This indoor table centrepiece project will feature the fragrance of fresh evergreens and light florals, not sugar and spice - but will still be nice! Accents for both pots will include natural pinecones, dogwoods and playful gingerbread themed décor accents. It is suggested to come as a pair to complete the projects in the 1.25 hours allotted. OUR MOST POPULAR WORKSHOP! Our super-popular Evergreen Wreath Workshop is back! Join us to make a lovely 16-18" outdoor wreath on a metal frame (which you will not see when we're done). We offer an abundance of fresh evergreen snipets such as boxwood, oregonia (variegated boxwood), pine, various cedars and silver fir along with accents such as pinecones, blueberry cedar and rosehips. Participants will travel along this Evergreen Buffet to gather up "bundles" that our design team will help you "crimp" onto the frame. The result is a sturdy, lush, fragrant deluxe wreath that will last until about March on your door! This is a wreath for outdoor use.
