A variety of sizes, colours and shapes will be included, along with proper succulent soil, decorative rocks and fun touches. Discussion will highlight succulent care and design techniques.   • Summer Lovin’ Planter Saturday June 14, 10:00 a.m $75.00 + HST. These plants like it HOT! For this unique workshop we’ll use a 14” tall square container to plant in a hot, tropical mix for hot, tropical Summer days. Plant choices will include: hibiscus, dipladenia, salvia, verbena, sedum, petunia and more. Your choice of six-seven plants, in a variety of colours, will guide you in designing a unique planter. All materials are included. Vikki will be your host and instructional coach.

    We sourced a sleek black metal container that hugs a short metal stand – lovely for tabletop in your home!  It is watertight so the written DIY instructions will guide you in adding in a block of fresh floral foam, mixed evergreens (pine, boxwood and BC cedar) along with your choice of trendy bottlebrush tree (choose white, gold or silver).  Accents included in this kit will include icy/sparkly branches, pinecones and an additional, smaller bottlebrush tree. The instructions will guide you on how to care for this arrangement so it lasts well into January.  Close to the holiday you can add in some light fresh flowers (not included) if you wish to make it more floral for your entertaining needs.  We will provide you suggestions and ways to do this.     What a fun DIY Kit!  An 11” oval tin planter is the container for this project.  It is watertight so the written DIY instructions will guide you in adding in a block of fresh floral foam, mixed evergreens (pine, boxwood and BC cedar).  You will add a battery operated ivory pillar candle (batteries included) and a 6” woodland gnome holding a bottlebrush tree.  This will be the focal point of your arrangement; accents will include short dogwood sticks and pinecones.     This is a fun DIY Kit to teach your children some kid-friendly basics of floral design!  It's a super activity for visiting grandchildren or friends and neighbours. Using a 4" tin planter embossed with colourful reindeer images, a piece of wet floral foam will be added and then filled with snipets of fresh evergreens.  A selection of fragrant and fresh evergreens (pine, cedar and boxwood) will be included in the kit.  Pinecones, dogwood, a wooden Santa accent and balls to represent Rudolf's shiny nose will be added too. This will be  great table decoration that will take place-of-pride in your home all season long.

    In this informative seminar, you will listen and learn with Vikki and Jennifer, who is Master Gardener Certified and passionate about Native Plants.  Details will focus on the benefits of Native Plant gardening and ways to integrate them into your current landscape.  To incorporate native perennials into your garden you don't need to 'rip everything out"!  Moderation is the key (to all in life, really) and they will demonstrate ways this can be done in a beautiful and environmentally respectful way.  An informative handout will be offered; you are encouraged to take additional notes. Specific plant species will be highlighted (the faves); wide varieties will be in stock for a "show and tell".  Opportunities for specific questions will be offered at the end of the presentation. Seating is limited, so the $10.00 fee ensures your space in this popular session. Customer Cardholders will be reimbursed the fee in points, which they can spend at any time.

    In this informative seminar, you will listen and learn with Vikki and Jennifer, who are Master Gardener Certified.  Details will focus on the varieties of trees and shrubs that need to be pruned (specifically varieties to prune in Spring), when to do so, and how to do so.  A brief discussion on rose pruning will also be included.  A hand-out will be provided; taking additional notes is recommended. After a discussion of basics, the group will walk from the seated area to a few locations in our Display Garden (just steps away) where Jennifer will demonstrate the actions of pruning on species currently growing and in need of Spring pruning.  Opportunities for specific questions will be offered at the end of the presentation.
