A gorgeous ceramic 9” oval dish will be the container to add five beautiful plants. Each participant will choose their 4-5 favourite fillers from a selection including pre-sprouted hyacinths, tulips, daffodils and muscari along with polkadots, ivy and fresh green ferns. The feature plant will be a choice of a pure white Anthurium or peachy-toned “Quito” Peperomia. Mosses, sticks, pussy willows and accents will be offered to complete the planter. Spring Amaryllis Joy Workshop Saturday March 16th, 10:00 a.m. So this is new…waxed Amaryllis for Spring! In Spring coloured wax (pink, mauve, yellow) the pre-sprouted stem will open to a white or pink blooming Amarylis, usually within the month of being exposed to light and warmth. What a joy to watch Amaryllis blooms open in the Spring-time! The container for this design will be a 8” wicker “nest” and will include three foliage or blooming plants, along with your choice of high-value, pre-sprouted waxed Amaryllis. Decorative mosses (to nestle the waxed Amaryllis), pussy willows and curly willow and a cute bird will complete the project. The first hour of this hands-on workshop will be working with Jessica to create a willow woven obelisk that will sit on the rim of a country/modern chic square planter consisting of black metal and reclaimed wood. While learning weaving techniques she will also guide you to make a small willow birdnest. Next, Vikki will take over and guide participants in planting a Spring arrangement full of ranunculus, pre-sprouted hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, fluffy ferns, trailing ivy, blooming calandivia, pussy willows and foliage fillers. The birdnest, nestled with a few faux eggs and birdies, will tuck in for a magical Springtime design! Total height of the planter is 22”; the wooden planting vessel can be separated from the metal base to be used as a tabletop planter or the whole unit can styled as a compliment to your furniture. A kid’s workshop for our friends aged 3-12. This year's ceramic planter has a colourful scene on it's exterior: foxes, birds and winter wildlife. It will be filled with snipets of mixed evergreens so it resembles a hideaway you’d happen upon deep in the forest. Dogwood, pinecones, light floral accents and a woodland animal friend will complete the project. This arrangement is to remain indoors and, by keeping the floral foam moist, will last over a month! The container for this DIY Kit is a whimsical 5" round cement pot featuring cardinals; it’s a cute, woodland design. This is a potted plant arrangement that will instruct you to plant three 2”-4” pots of seasonal plants. The Grinch is back! Attending this super popular workshop is tradition for many of you! We're happy to be back "grinching" it up with you again this year. This is a family friendly workshop, great for all ages, but most-enjoyed by ages 7/8-adult. Using a lovely 6" round tin container and fresh floral foam, participants will twist up a branch of "leyland cypress" so it bends like the last tree in a Who-ville home once the Grinch got his greedy hands on all of the goodies. Fresh evergreen boughs (boxwood, pine and cedar) will be added at the base, along with light fresh flowers and a final touch of an ornament on the tip of the main branch. It's back! Our popular "Winter Sleigh Ride" Workshop will be offered for those who already have the wooden sleigh and wish to "re-green it" and for those who are new to this project. Come one, come all! The wooden sleigh (about 30" long) is a sturdy construction and colour choices are natural and painted red and black. Participants will strap on a foam block and 'green it up" with boxwood, pine, cedar and silver fir evergreen snipets. A bow and accents decorate it to your personal style. This is an outdoor project; it can not remain indoors for more than 1-2 days (greens will dry out). The string allows it to be hung or it can lean against the wall/fence. All materials are included for new participants. Those returning who have the wooden sleigh from one of our previous workshops (see notes below) can bring it to re-do and pay a lower price for this experience. -

Sexy Succulents Workshops Sunday June 09, 2:00 p.m. 55.00 + HST. Using a very nice long, rectangular metal trough, seven succulents will be planted. A variety of sizes, colours and shapes will be included, along with proper succulent soil, decorative rocks and fun touches. Discussion will highlight succulent care and design techniques. Maximum 8 participants. -
This is an indoor potted plant workshop for folks who value houseplants they can grow on after the holidays. In an 8” natural toned tin planter (with protective liner) participants will plant five seasonal bloomers. Choices will include: cyclamen, poinsettia, lemon cypress, lavender, rosemary, fluffy ferns, ivy, winter berry, calandivia and seasonal frosty fern. Accents to finish the project will be a wooden tree stake, a metal deer pick, birch and pine cones. Au Natural! -
NEW for 2024! This lovely 8" cement planter with etched cardinals will be filled with mixed fresh evergreens in floral foam, for freshness and longevity, plus fanciful dogwood, pine cones and light floral accents. Nestled amongst the greens will be a live waxed red amaryllis that will grow throughout the month, hopefully bursting open for the holiday (plants will be plants...) Of course, red cardinals will be clipped to the dogwood branches, to complete the arrangement. Once the greenery arrives, a photo of the completed project will be posted.
