  • Here’s a Twist!  We’ve fully changed-up design of our Light Up The Night Workshop this year (see “Light Up The Night 2026” option) but we wondered if all you folks who have the WOODEN LANTERN FROM A PREVIOUS GRIFFIN’S WORKSHOP would like to bring it along for a re-do? In this workshop we’ll provide a fresh plastic saucer bottom (for either style as they switched a few years ago) and floral foam plus we’ll instruct you in designing a lovely mixed evergreen arrangement that will sit in the base of your lantern.  We’ll provide lots of lovely accents to decorate your arrangement, just like the OG Lantern Workshop from years gone-by. If your battery operated candle is in good shape still, bring it along to use as one is not included in this reduced fee workshop.  We WILL have extras to purchase at $15.00 each if you require a new one (payable at the end of the workshop, at our cash station).

  • The Grinch is back!  Attending this super popular workshop is tradition for many of you!  We're happy to be back "grinching" it up with you again this year. This is a family friendly workshop, great for all ages, but most-enjoyed by ages 7/8-adult. Using a lovely 6" round tin container and fresh floral foam, participants will twist up a branch of "leyland cypress" or "carolina sapphire" so it bends like the last tree in a Who-ville home once the Grinch got his greedy hands on all of the goodies.  Fresh evergreen boughs (boxwood, pine and cedar) will be added at the base, along with light fresh flowers and a final touch of an ornament on the tip of the main branch.  Lots of colour choices will be offered. Whimsical and fun for the holidays! Photo is of a Grinch project from a previous year; 2026 project will feature a red tin pot.

We sourced a sleek black metal container that hugs a short metal stand – lovely for tabletop in your home!  It is watertight so the written DIY instructions will guide you in adding in a block of fresh floral foam, mixed evergreens (pine, boxwood and BC cedar) along with your choice of trendy bottlebrush tree (choose white, gold or silver).  Accents included in this kit will include icy/sparkly branches, pinecones and an additional, smaller bottlebrush tree. The instructions will guide you on how to care for this arrangement so it lasts well into January.  Close to the holiday you can add in some light fresh flowers (not included) if you wish to make it more floral for your entertaining needs.  We will provide you suggestions and ways to do this. This DIY Kit is available November 29-December 15.  Please indicate your preferred pick up date in the NOTES section at Check-Out.  We are open Tuesday-Sunday each week.

The instructions will guide you on how to care for this arrangement so it lasts well into January.  Close to the holiday you can add in some light fresh flowers (not included) if you wish to make it more floral for your entertaining needs.  We will provide you suggestions and ways to do this. A new design!  In this workshop participants will make two moss kokedama balls with pre-sprouted mini daffodils, jute string, curly willow and other decorative and dried flower accompaniments.  Each moss ball will sit on a simple clay saucer.  They can be displayed together, or separately in your home. If you get excited and wish to make more, time allows for additional kokedama balls to be made in the workshop for $22.00 each, payable at the end of the session. While one of these sessions will be held during March school break, it is not recommended for young children.  Appropriate ages for this workshop are 10-99 years. NOTE:  Photo and project idea courtesy of Van H Acres, BC.  While the concept is the same, the Griffin's version will be slightly different than pictured.

This is an outdoor project; it can not remain indoors for more than 1-2 days (greens will dry out). The string allows it to be hung or it can lean against the wall/fence. All materials are included for new participants. This year, we wished to find a Canadian grower – and we did!  Arriving as nicely grown plants in generous 12” hanging pots (a standard fern is usually in 9-10” pots, limiting its growth potential), these big beauties will be perfect on your porch all Summer, getting HUGE by the Fall.  Prebook Pick-Up:  May 07, 08, 09, 10 only

The overall height for this arrangement will be approximately 18” and it is a great option for someone who doesn't wish a large tree in house and needs just a small tabletop tree for the season.
