The slender white ceramic pot is 5” round and the instructions will guide you in adding in a block of fresh floral foam, mixed evergreens (pine, boxwood and BC cedar). The feature of this pretty indoor table arrangement will be a high quality, pure white LUX Lite taper candle (battery operated, with timer; batteries included). Accents will include a circular holiday pic and pinecones. The instructions will guide you on how to care for this arrangement so it lasts well into January. Close to the holiday you can add in some light fresh flowers (not included) if you wish to make it more floral for your entertaining needs. We will provide you suggestions and ways to do this. In the reclaimed wood, square planter, participants will plant a selection of Spring bloomers such as primula, ranunculus, pre-sprouted bulbs, green houseplants, begonias, calandivia and more. As a finished product, the wooden planter will be mounted on the black metal stand, and your arrangement will be full and lush, accented with decorative mosses, pussy willows plus a whimsical, light-up, rabbit face peeking out from amid the foliage. The remainder of the fee will be payable upon arrival to the Workshop) A NEW Collaborative Workshop – "Woven Wonder" Saturday March 23, 1:00pm We’ve created a new project in collaboration with “The Branch Ranch” in Warkworth and we think you will love it! The first hour of this hands-on workshop will be working with Jessica to create a willow woven obelisk that will sit on the rim of a country/modern chic square planter consisting of black metal and reclaimed wood. While learning weaving techniques she will also guide you to make a small willow birdnest. Next, Vikki will take over and guide participants in planting a Spring arrangement full of ranunculus, pre-sprouted hyacinths, daffodils, tulips, fluffy ferns, trailing ivy, blooming calandivia, pussy willows and foliage fillers. The birdnest, nestled with a few faux eggs and birdies, will tuck in for a magical Springtime design! Total height of the planter is 22”; the wooden planting vessel can be separated from the metal base to be used as a tabletop planter or the whole unit can styled as a compliment to your furniture. Out of stockThis is a fun DIY Kit to teach your children some kid-friendly basics of floral design! It's a super activity for visiting grandchildren or friends and neighbours. Using a 4" tin planter embossed with colourful reindeer images, a piece of wet floral foam will be added and then filled with snipets of fresh evergreens. A selection of fragrant and fresh evergreens (pine, cedar and boxwood) will be included in the kit. Pinecones, dogwood, a wooden Santa accent and balls to represent Rudolf's shiny nose will be added too. This will be great table decoration that will take place-of-pride in your home all season long.

NEW SPRING WORKSHOP for EASTER DECOR! Friday, April 18, 11:00 a.m. (Good Friday Holiday) Let’s make a fresh potted table arrangement for Easter! Using an 8" square wooden box with a metal handle, we’ll plant a collection of approximately seven Spring bloomers and/or fresh green houseplants. Choices will include: sprouted Spring bulbs (tulips, mini daffodils, hyacinth, muscari), primula, ranunculus, pansies, ferns, ivy, and polka-dots. An option to add a mini orchid will be offered (an add-on, payable at the workshop, if you decide to add it). Decorative moss, décor picks, a bow for the handle, Easter eggs and pussy willows will complete your project. Choice of colours and plants will ensure your creation is very unique - unique to you! As always, care, advice, and education will be discussed as the group works alongside your host, Vikki, and the Design Team. A picture of the completed project is coming soon - we're waiting on the arrival of the containers.

This will be the focal point of your arrangement; accents will include short dogwood sticks and pinecones. At this time of year (when most veggies are in plentiful stock), we don't have a lot of space available, so we'll gather (after hours, the Store will be closed for this private event) amongst the herbs and veggies in our uncovered edibles section. We ask that you bring your own chair to plunk down. A hand out will be provided. Topics will include garden placement, soil amendment, planting basics, nutrition, disease, pests and harvest. You will be welcome to ask questions at the end of the presentation. Seating is limited; the $10.00 fee ensures your space in this sure-to-be popular session.
