What a fun DIY Kit!  An 11” oval tin planter is the container for this project.  It is watertight so the written DIY instructions will guide you in adding in a block of fresh floral foam, mixed evergreens (pine, boxwood and BC cedar).  You will add a battery operated ivory pillar candle (batteries included) and a 6” woodland gnome holding a bottlebrush tree.  This will be the focal point of your arrangement; accents will include short dogwood sticks and pinecones. Complimenting this muted pallet will be several stems of blue-green dried eucalyptus with instructions on how to scatter it throughout the arrangement for textural interest and remarkable fragrance. The instructions will guide you on how to care for this arrangement so it lasts well into January.  Close to the holiday you can add in some light fresh flowers (not included) if you wish to make it more floral for your entertaining needs.  We will provide you suggestions and ways to do this. Quantities are limited.  This DIY Kit is available November 28-December 15.  Please indicate your preferred Pick Up date in the NOTES section at Check-Out.  

DIY Kit:  Kid’s March Break Project, “Nature’s Window” Pick Up Times:  March 08, 09, 12-16 Choose a date to pick up a kit containing all materials to plant a beautiful wooden window frame (lined with plastic).  All materials will be packed up for you including four Spring plants:  long-blooming kalanchoe, air purifying spider plant, trailing ivy and cheery mini daffodil along with soil, mosses and accents.  Detailed written instructions will guide the process.    What a fun activity to do with the grand-kiddies or little ones at home for March Break! **Please enter your pick-up date in the notes section during checkout**

Fall Bulbs: Plant Now for Spring Beauty Saturday September 14th, 11:00 am Free session for card holder customers - Must show card apon arrival Presenters Vikki and Jennifer will present all-things-fall-bulbs in this 1.5 hour presentation. Topics highlighted will be types of bulbs, our favourite varieties and garden must-haves, design techniques and ways to possibly thwart our pesky squirrel friends. 1.5 hour Seminar, will include a Q and A session Draw Prizes, Goodie Bags and Hand-Out for at-home reference

Herbal Heaven Workshop Sunday June 08, 2:00 p.m. $55.00 + HST. We’ll use a muted tone composite 14” round pot to plant in five herbs of your choice. Discussion will highlight uses of many of our favourite herbs (medical, culinary, fragrance), growth habits and harvesting methods. We even have some recipes to share! All materials are included: pot, soil, herbs, instruction and laughter!

Thursday October 02, 6:30 p.m. $57.00 + HST Using a lovely white oblong planter, participants will choose 5-7 beautiful indoor plants. Choices will include: kalanchoe, calla lily, spider plant, ivy, heather, mums, rudbeckia and so much more. Design concepts will be discussed while a sample is planted and then Vikki, your host, will help you create your own indoor planter to grace your Thanksgiving table. Decorator touches such as moss, picks and seasonal accents will finish your project. Aftercare and maintenance will be discussed. All materials are included. Max 20 participants.

$55.00 per person + HST - ($20.00 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot; remainder of your fee is payable upon arrival to the workshop) Outdoor Spring Beauty Friday April 12th 1:00 p.m. Using a simple 12” black container (that can be a stand-along pot or an urn insert), participants will plant 6-7 spring bloomers into a beautiful outdoor arrangement. Plant choices will include: multicolours of hardy primula, ranunculus, pre-sprouted bulbs, pansies, campanula, ivy and more. While planting, design techniques and care information will be discussed. Finishing touches such as adding moss, pussy willows and décor sticks will complete the beautiful planter that will last until early June (Spring plants prefer cooler temperatures). Note: there is an option to include a perennial hellebore into your arrangement. The extra fee for your choice of hellebore will be payable at the end of the workshop. To register for this Workshop, a $20.00 + HST non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. The remainder of the fee will be payable upon arrival to the Workshop.
