NEW: Let’s Celebrate Earth Day Together!
In this Bring Your Own Container Workshop (BYOC) participants bring a container to fill with beautiful Spring plants. Please bring a container (empty and clean) no larger than 16″ round or 36″ long (window box style). If you don’t have a suitable container, come early to the workshop and pick one out (additional fee for it will be required, of course).
Plant choices will be numerous and well chosen: this is not a time to be planting tender plants and ALL plant choices will be cold weather tolerant. Expect choices of pansies, bulbs, primula, ranunculus, ivy, petunia, alyssum/lobularia, verbena and nemesia. Some perennial choices may be offered too. Caution will be required in the early days and this arrangement will need to come in on nights when the temperature is below zero.
The base fee of $15.00 covers your instruction plus high quality potting soil to fill your empty pot and moss to provide a “decorator touch”. At the end of the workshop we will add up the cost of the plants you used and that fee is payable at the end of the workshop. All costs will be clearly outlined and we will help work with any budget.
This will be an outdoor workshop so please dress in layers, in accordance to the weather. If the weather is poor, participants will be contacted and a rescheduled date will be offered.
As always, care, advice, and education will be discussed as the group works alongside your host, Vikki and the Design Team.
